Lyme Regis Football Club scored with its application for a town council grant – netting a cheque for £100,000 last week.

The three-stage project will include a pitch extension and the building of a covered spectators’ area, the extension of the clubhouse to accommodate a kitchen, and the resurfacing of the car park and replacement perimeter fencing.

Mayor Owen Lovell presented the cheque to club chairman Howard Larcombe, saying the council was pleased to support them.
