Lyme lifeboat called to boat ‘in distress’

Crew finds the two men aboard were simply fishing an in no difficulties.

Lyme Regis’ RNLI lifeboat crew launched last night (Wednesday, September 7) after a member of the public reported a speedboat in possible difficulties a short distance outside the harbour.

Two men aboard the speedboat were found to be fishing and in no difficulty.

The incident was recorded as a false alarm with good intent.
