Boy who wandered off on Charmouth beach is later found safe and well

EMERGENCY services were scrambled to Charmouth yesterday (Tuesday) after reports of a missing three-year-old.

The boy’s father called for help after the youngster disappeared from view while playing near rock pools on the beach.

Police called for help from coastguards and Lyme Regis lifeboat, at around noon.

The lad was found, a few minutes, later safe and well, by his father. He was amongst another group of people.

Assistance in the hunt was also received from the Charmouth fossil warden who was working in the area.
