Crew returned to base after the woman is found safe and well on Monmouth Beach

The volunteer crew of Lyme Regis’ RNLI lifeboat joined a search for a missing woman just after midnight yesterday (Sunday May 29)

Coastguards asked the crew to launch at 12.10am and to carry out a shoreline search between Lyme Regis and Seaton.

The lifeboat crew were at sea for an hour and the search was called off when coastguards found the woman safe and well at the western end of Monmouth beach, Lyme Regis.

This was the ninth call-out for the lifeboat so far this year.
