Crew joins coastguards in shoreline search near West Bay
Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat was launched at 10.22pm last night (Tuesday, October 11) to assist in the search for a person reported missing in the West Bay area.
The lifeboat crew conducted a shoreline search to the east and west of West Bay.
During the search the lifeboat was diverted by coastguards to stand by while they dealt with a person found on West Cliff.
No evidence of the original missing person was found, and coastguards stood the lifeboat crew down at 11.42pm.
