Reports of a person in the water proved unfounded

Lyme Regis lifeboat was launched on Monday afternoon (October 3) after a report that a person was in the water and missing from an open fishing boat off Burton Bradstock.

Shortly after the RNLI crew had set out the West Bay harbour launch reported that all aboard the fishing boat were safe and well and the lifeboat was stood down by coastguards at 2.48pm.
