Stricken Laser has to be towed back to harbour after its gear fails

Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat was launched last night (Friday, Augist 19) when a Laser dinghy with one person aboard suffered gear failure just outside the harbour.

The dinghy, and its sailor, were towed to safety ashore by the lifeboat crew.

The lifeboat was launched at 6.57pm and returned to harbour some 20 minutes later.
