Fully clothed woman rescued by lifeboat, in the dark, 60 yards off shore
LYME Regis lifeboat rescued a woman after she walked into the sea, fully clothed, at West Bay, in the early hours of today (Monday)
The crew was called to the scene by coastguards and found the woman, in the dark, some 60 yards off shore.
Thought to be in her thirties, she was taken aboard the lifeboat and returned to West Bay harbour where police and coastguards were waiting to speak to her.
The lifeboat crew, which had launched at just after midnight, returned to Lyme Regis Harbour at 1.05am.
