ART work will be spotted in unusual places in Lyme Regis as part of the ART TRAIL set up by artists and local businesses.

Organised by 35 ArtsFest artists in collaboration with 105 businesses throughout the town, the event will have art displayed in venues in the area.

The event, running from Saturday, September 27 to Saturday, October 5, will identify each venue with a big red, numbered spot - and a trail of spots will lead to at least one artist's work in each building.

An Art Trail map can also be picked up with information on the artists. The Town Mill will host workshops on drawing, painting, fabric dying and rag rug making.

Pat Hicks at Threshers believes such a trail is positive for the town: "Anything that brings people to the town is a good idea. This is something different, it's good for Lyme."

For more information, pick up an Art Trail leaflet or visit www.lymeregisartsfest.com for full details.
