Members of Lyme Regis Bowling Club raised £300 for the RNLI when they staged their annual drive and raffle event, which has been held for more than 60 years.

Club president Philip Stephens presented the donation to Krys Lavery, volunteer manager of the RNLI’s charity shop on the Cobb.

The bowling club is keen to recruit new members and anyone interested can go to an open evening held every Wednesday from April to October.

Founded in 1937, Lyme Regis Bowling Club has seven rinks and currently around 90 full members. Feedback from visiting clubs suggests that this is one of the best greens in the South West of England.
