A LYME Regis lottery winner swopped champagne for a shovel to help out with a community farm.
Derek Thompson scooped 2,704,666 with his wife Elaine on their wedding anniversary on December 1995.
And he recently joined fellow National Lottery winners to help re-fence animal pens and clear ponds at Lawrence Weston estate, in Bristol.
Ian Fielder, community development worker at the farm, said: “We’re delighted that lottery winners from across the region came along to lend us a hand.
“All the work they did will be of great benefit to the local community here.”
