LYME Regis has been hit by graffiti and police are hunting for the offender.

Marine Parade shelters, the gazebo in the gardens and a bench along GunCliffe Walk have been sprayed with writing in several colours, on Saturday night, February 6.

Police said the words 'we are the children of the night' and 'we are the children' were written, as well as a large cannabis leaf and various patterns and faces.

Pc Richard Winward said: "Obviously I want to arrest an offender for this graffiti, and would like information from anyone who witnessed it or believes they know who is responsible.

"I believe that it must have been witnessed and I also believe that most of the Lyme youth would have been disgusted that their town was being defaced."

Anyone with information can call police on 01305 222 222.
