LYME Regis Town Council has come to the rescue of stranded residents who live on steep hills in the resort.

Council workmen are currently gritting Queens Walk, an area never before gritted during severe weather conditions.
The council's tractor driver has made it to the top of the hill, with grit supplies.
A team of at least four men are using shovels to spread the grit.

Residents have been quick to thank the workmen.
The plight of stranded residents was recently raised at a town council meeting, following a series of accidents during icy conditions.
