Emergency alert after crew of the Sea Seeker haul a belt of live ammunition aboard
EXPLOSIVES disposal experts were called to Lyme Regis harbour yesterday (Monday) afternoon after a trawler netted a belt of live ammunition.
The cartridges were hauled aboard the locally based Sea Seeker, whose crew alerted coastguards.
When the boat landed, the explosives team examined the cartridges and decided they were safe enough to take away for disposal.
