Coastguards called to the scene to check for any casualties

Another major cliff fall was reported near Charmouth yesterday (Wednesday, August 20).

The village’s beach attendant reported the large landslip between Evans Cliff and Cains Folly.

It happened at around 1pm.

Lyme Regis Coastguard Rescue Officers were called to the scene to check no one was in the area at the time and Dorset County Council have been informed.
