LYME Regis Museum will be holding a major local history exhibition this half term.

LYME Regis Museum will be holding a major local history exhibition this half term.

Hundreds of old archive photos of the town will be on display at the new Malthouse, next to the Town Mill.

Museum volunteer and trustee Ken Gollop said: "Sixty years ago, when I was a boy, Lyme was a very small, old-fashioned place. But we saw great changes after the Second World War.

"Many of the fields we played in as children have now been built upon and some old buildings and the railway have been lost.

"This exhibition will jog quite a few memories for locals and will give visitors and new residents a chance to find out more about what old Lyme used to be like.'

The event runs from Saturday 29th May - Sunday 6th June, 11am-4pm and entry is free for everyone.
