Axminster to Chard road closed for ten hours after fatal smash
A 26-year-old man died when his car hit a stone wall on the Axminster to Chard Road last night (Sunday, November 21).
The single vehicle accident happened on the A358, near Tatworth, atjust after 6.30pm.
Police said the Renault car was being driven towards Chard when it mounted a kerb on a left handed bend, collided with a wall and ended up on its roof.
The driver, who was from East Somerset, was declared dead at the scene and the road was closed for nearly ten hours.
