A MAN was airlifted to hospital after slipping on rocks at Monmouth Beach, Lyme Regis.

The holidaymaker from Surrey made a 999 call on his mobile after falling and suffering a head injury on Friday (April 10).

The Portland Coastguard rescue helicopter airlifted him to Dorchester Hospital for treatment.
