Man arrested after police chase

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary in Lyme Regis.

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary in Lyme Regis.

The 23 year-old local was stopped following a chase at around 11.30pm, Thursday, April 1.

Police had been called out to Avenue Road following reports of an intruder entering a house.

A man was detained and interviewed at Weymouth police station, and later released on police bail.

On the same evening, other people in the area were stopped and searched. A local 20 year old was found to be in possession of cannabis which was seized, and an interview arranged for a later date.
