Twenty-six-year-old Axminster man is due in court today

Police in Axminster have charged a man with robbery after an incident in a town centre supermarket on Saturday night (December 21).

Samuel Murphy, aged 26, from Axminster, is due to appear at Exeter Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, December 24).

The offence, of which he is accused, took place at the Co-op store in South Street at around 9pm when a quantity of cigarettes and alcohol was stolen.
