Man dies after A30 westbound collision

The car collided with the central reservation at around 7.30am near Daisymount.

A man has died following a collision on the A30 westbound carriage this morning.

The car collided with the central reservation at around 7.30am near Daisymount.

The driver a local man aged in his early forties, who suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision.

He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His next of kin have been informed.

Highways assisted with road closures at the Daisymount and the Exeter airport junction, which were in place until around 11am.
