Man dies after two-vehicle collison near Honiton

Police confirmed that victim was 92-years-old and from Okehampton.

A pensioner has died in hospital after a two-car collision near Honiton.

The incident, which happened around 2.10pm on September 6 near Otter Vale Motor Services, involed a Vauxhall Insignia and Peugeot 207.

A police spokesman said: “The Peugeot was driven by a 59-year-old woman and contained a 92-year-old man from Okehampton who was the front seat passenger. Both were taken to the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital for treatment.

“The Vauxhall Insignia was driven by a 53-year-old man and contained two passengers. All three were all treated at the scene for minor injuries.”

Police confirmed that the 92-year-old man died overnight while in hospital.

Officers from the Exeter Roads Policing Team are asking for anybody who witnessed the collision to contact them on quoting log number 457 for the September 6.
