Michael Vincent Hamlyn, 28, from Cornfield Green, Torquay, attended Central Devon Magistrates' Court on Thursday, June 3.
His case has bee committed to Exeter Crown Court and a pre-trial case management hearing is expected to take place there on Friday, June 23. He has been released on unconditional bail.
