A REPORT on the front page of today s Honiton edition of the Midweek Herald reveals a former Honiton man, Peter Smith, aged 22, has been remanded in custody following allegations that he committed sexual offences against children.
A REPORT on the front page of today's Honiton edition of the Midweek Herald reveals a former Honiton man, Peter Smith, aged 22, has been remanded in custody following allegations that he committed sexual offences against children.
It has been brought to the attention of the Herald that another Peter Smith, also 22, and formerly of Honiton, exists.
We would like to make it clear that the man in custody is NOT Peter Colin Smith, formerly of Manor Crescent, Honiton, and now living in Exeter.
The Herald has spoken to this Mr Smith, who works as a lorry loader, this morning and he is definitely not in custody.
We hope this clarifies the situation.
