Man rescued from car after crash near Weycroft

Fire crews from Axminster and Chard attended an early-morning road traffic collision today (Sunday).

Firefighters attended the A358 near Weycroft Bridge at around 4.41am to find a car had hit a railway bridge.

A man was still inside the vehicle so after receiving a medical assessment from paramedics the crews removed the roof to rescue him.
