Vehicle became trapped in rising water at Limers Lane Dunkeswell

A man had to be rescued from his van when it became stuck in rising floodwater last night (Sunday, March 27).

One fire appliance from Honiton attended an incident at Limers Lane, Dunkeswell, at around 11.55pm

The vehicle had gone into flood water and stalled. The water was rising and the driver was unsure whether he could get out safely. Crews arrived and rescued the man from his vehicle, and walked him to safety.
