IT was a two horse race in the Seaton Coastal ward, where Margaret Rogers (Lib Dem) was defending her seat against a strong push from Conservative Jim Knight.Mr Knight took the seat with a majority of 135 after polling 1,757 votes.Mrs Rogers attracted 1,622 votes.In third place was UKIP candidate Jeremy Allison with 879 votes.The Labour candidate, Judith Blackwell, polled 177 votes.Turnout: 48 per cent. Number of spoilt ballot papers: 20.
