A HONITON man has taken part in his third fitness DVD to be sent to over 80 countries and 12,000 instructors.

A HONITON man has taken part in his third fitness DVD - to be sent to over 80 countries and 12,000 instructors.Matthew Thraxton is an instructor in the relatively new fitness trend, Les Mills body pump, which now features at Honiton Sports Centre.Mr Thraxton, 34, is a group fitness manager at Les Mills New Lynn, in Auckland, New Zealand, where he has lived for the last year.He stars as one of the instructors in the fitness DVD, Heroes Made Here.His mother, Irene, from Monkton Road, said her son had started as a football coach in the United States and worked his way up to his dream job and destination.She said: "I've tried the Les Mills body pump class twice when I went to visit Mathew in the States. But I only had very small weights."At the time, I thought it wasn't too bad - but the next day was when I suffered."Proud of her son and his achievements, she added: "He's a local boy done good. "He's very dedicated and this is the sort of thing that takes over your whole life."She recommended the Les Mills exercise programme, which she said appeared to keep people fit, healthy and youthful.
