NEVER refuse champagne and get plenty of fresh air - the secrets of a long life, according to 100-year-old Mavis Watts.Mrs Watts, of Gittisham Hill House, is formerly an accomplished artist, dressmaker and upholsterer, and once worked for a company which supplied curtains to the late Queen Mother.Born in Croydon on June 9, 1909, she married Charles Watts in Hammersmith in 1936, where the couple lived for more than 50 years.Mrs Watts moved to Gittisham in 2007 after her only son, Michael, moved to Sidmouth.
