“It is becoming a hazard, especially to motorcyclists and scooter drivers. It is just ridiculous.”
Mr Zarczynski said he has been approached by several disgruntled residents who complained about the state of the road.
He added that he has seen workers fixing ‘lesser roads’, and is urging highway bosses to prioritise Lower Brand Lane.
“I can not just stand by and ignore it because it is what I consider to be a safety hazard,” Mr Zarczynski said.
“The whole stretch of road is absolutely disgusting and I feel something has to happen.
“There are no excuses for this one, it should be repaired as a matter of priority.
“There are some holes so deep on that road, you can grow spuds in them.”
Mr Zarczynski said Littletown Road is also covered in potholes and has become a danger to motorists.
He is calling for action to be taken on both roads before a ‘serious accident or damage’ happens.
A Devon County Council spokesman said: “Patching work is scheduled to be carried out on Lower Brand Lane this financial year in preparation for resurfacing in 2018/19.”
