Peter Fleming, who did not seek re-election to Honiton Town Council, supports work of Heroes Haven and Baton charities.
THE out-going Mayor of Honiton has carried out one of his final duties as civic leader.
Peter Fleming, who did not seek re-election to Honiton Town Council, welcomed coast path walker Frank Roberts to town yesterday (Monday).
Mr Roberts is raising money for Heroes Haven, in Swanage, and, to further his support for forces personnel and their families, he is carrying the Honiton-based Baton during his travels. He accepted the Baton from the cause campaign’s founder, Alan Rowe MBE, beside the war memorial outside St Paul’s Church.
There to give Mr Roberts encouragement was Lynne Connor, of Heroes Haven.
