Mayor's widow 'overwhelmed' by public support

JEAN Tratt, widow of the late Mayor of Honiton, Councillor Chris Tratt, whose funeral service takes place today (Wednesday), says she has been overwhelmed" by expressions of sympathy and support.

JEAN Tratt, widow of the late Mayor of Honiton, Councillor Chris Tratt, whose funeral service takes place today (Wednesday), says she has been "overwhelmed" by expressions of sympathy and support. Mrs Tratt, mayoress, would like to thank the hundreds of people who have sent cards, flowers and messages to her and her family.A minute's silence was held in memory of Councillor Tratt at the start of Honiton Town Council's November meeting, which was postponed until Monday this week following Councillor Tratt's sudden death. Team vicar the Reverend Allan Sheath led prayers for Councillor Tratt at the meeting.
