Zoe Braunton-Turner, of the Honiton detachment of Devon Army Cadets, and Selina Small, of 1064 Squadron Air Training Corps, Honiton, were appointed Mayor's Cadets during Honiton's traditional mayor-making ceremony, led by mace bearer Dave Retter.The ceremony took place at St Rita's Conference Centre on Monday last week.The cadets' role has become more prominent in recent years, involving a varied programme of events - from attending annual rituals such as Remembrance services to accompanying the mayor on other official engagements.
