Meet PCSO Dave Keeler.

PCSO Dave Keeler joins Honiton town neighbourhood policing team.

There is a new officer on the beat in Honiton.

Police community support officer Dave Keeler joins the town’s neighbourhood policing team and started in his new post last week.

He is no stranger to policing and has worked for Devon and Cornwall Police since 1994 in the communications centre at Middlemoor, where he was responsible for the deployment of officers to incidents.

PCSO Keeler said: “I am looking forward to getting out there, engaging with the community and getting stuck into the role.”

A keen kayak canoeist, Dave was born in Plymouth but later moved to Lympstone. He also spent five years in the Royal Navy.

He says people in the town have already made him feel very welcome, and added: “If anyone wants to speak to me feel free to approach me and say hello.”
