AXMINSTER residents can learn about the works involved in the redoubling of the railway line.

AXMINSTER residents can learn about the works involved in the redoubling of the railway line.

The town council will be holding two information meetings on Friday, September 11.

The works will be taking place almost continuously, day and night, between the end of the month and mid December.

It is hoped representatives from various organisations will be there, including the Environmental Health Department, East Devon District Council, and the contractor, Balfour Beatty.

Residents interested in going to the meeting are asked to state if they will be attending the 4.30pm to 6pm session or the 7.30pm to 9pm one. Confirmation slips are available at the town council.For more information call (01297) 32088.
