Men arrested after police seize haul of drugs and weapons in Axminster and Charmouth raids

Men from Axminster and Charmouth have been arrested on suspected drugs and weapons charges after police carried out a series of raids.

Officers from forces in Devon and Cornwall and Dorset constabularies executed warrants at six addresses on Tuesday, May 7.

The operation, which involved more than 40 officers and separate firearms teams, resulted in the seizure of money, firearms and a large quantity of suspected drugs.

A 62-year-old man from Axminster was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and possession of a firearm and has been released under police investigation.

Two men, aged 19 and 34 both from Charmouth, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and have been released under police investigation.

A 49-year-old man from Axminster was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug with intent to supply and possession of a firearm.

He has been bailed until Tuesday, May 28.
