A mental health awareness evening is being put on for the community at Honiton Surgery next month.
The open evening, organised by the surgery’s patient participation group, will be held on Wednesday, October 12, from 7pm to 9pm.
The session, which is open for all to attend, will feature talks and information stands, manned by representatives of Leisure East Devon and Devon Partnership Trust, and surgery nurses.
Advice and guidance will also be offered on mental wellbeing, depression, stress, anxiety and eating disorders. Speakers include Dr Siobhan Gillispie, lead GP for mental health at the Honiton practice, and Debbie Humberstone of The Project, an organisation which supports the emotional wellbeing and mental health of young people.
