THE congregation of Honiton Methodist Church has gone 'home' - to the senior citizens' centre a few yards away. The centre, which was formerly the church, will provide church-goers with a temporary base while their real home, the church's former school room, is being extensively refurbished.A mammoth fund-raising campaign, supported by people from many sections of the community, has enabled work on the project to start.Among those to take part in a procession last Sunday were Desmond and Bronwen Button (pictured left), who were the last couple to be married in the senior citizens' centre when it was the church.Fund-raising towards the refurbishment is continuing.
