MOBILE librarian Mike Pearce has been making good use of his time travelling around East Devon. An enthusiastic amateur photographer, he often takes his camera with him while providing the vital library outreach service on behalf of Devon County Council. He has amassed a collection of images and yesterday (Tuesday) was busy putting together an exhibition of his photographs. The exhibition, at Honiton Library, will run until November 1. "Working on the Honiton mobile library has given me the opportunity to slowly build up a collection of images of East Devon," he said."Coupled with photographs taken on my travels around the rest of Devon, I am creating a portfolio of work based on the first seasons of this beautiful county."Mike first started taking photographs when he was eight, with a 'hand me down' Polaroid camera. "I have now enrolled on a City and Guilds photography course, which could lead to a degree, which is my goal," said Mike.
