MILLWEY Rise play area is to be relocated because it is currently under-used and encourages anti-social behaviour, according to East Devon District Council
The council is inviting residents to have their say on the relocation and improvement of the play area at two meetings at Millwey Rise Community Centre.
The events will be held on Monday, September 28, from 2pm to 5pm; and Wednesday, September 30, from 4pm to 6pm.
EDDC is calling on children to go along and vote on whether they would prefer to be climbing, sliding, swinging or bouncing on the new equipment.
Residents will be asked for their opinions on the scheme and for any ideas on what the play area should be like.
In recent consultation in the town, Axminster residents voted this their top priority play area. This means it will be allocated Section 106 funding, which has been collected by EDDC from developers, who have built new housing developments in the area.

EDDC said as a result of the project being designated top priority, the Council's Housing Team is also helping residents apply for a grant from Devon Playbuilder.
EDDC is not able to say how much of the Section 106 money will be allocated to this area until the town council makes a formal recommendation.
