Coastguards received “incomprehensible” call for help from fisherman’s friend
COASTGUARDS at Lyme Regis were scrambled at around 8.45pm last night (Sunday) after reports of an overdue angler.
The unit’s first task was to meet up with the informant who was said to have been “incomprehensible” over the phone.
They quickly located the man and then found his friend, who was safely fishing on the North wall of the harbour.
