A HELICOPTER and lifeboat was launched for a missing Seaton woman – who was later found visiting relations in Bridport

A HELICOPTER and lifeboat was launched for a missing Seaton woman - who was later found visiting relations in Bridport.

Beer Coastguard and Sidmouth Lifeboat and a police helicopter were launched to search for the 78-year-old last weekend.

Sidmouth Lifeboat crewman Mark Roden said: "Police and the coastguard were checking back gardens of homes on the cliffs, but she turned up safe and well in Bridport after catching a bus to see relations there."

The bus driver provided police with essential information.
