Missing “vulnerable man” found at Seaton

Full scale search involved lifeboat, helicopter and coastguard units

A MISSING “vulnerable person” was found safe and well in the Seaton area after a full scale search by rescue services yesterday (Thursday).

As the result of a call from Devon police an extensive hunt of the coastal area around Sidmouth was launched at around 11am.

Units involved were Beer Coastguard rescue officers, Sidmouth Independent Lifeboat, an RAF rescue helicopter from Chivenor and Devon police.

The person was eventually located in the Seaton area and detained for his own safety.
