Money raised will go towards enhancing pupils’ educational experience

Chard School’s Christmas Fair raised more than £1,600.

The money will go towards enhancing the educational experience of the pupils.

The annual event, held in the school grounds, was organised by The Friends of Chard School.

There was a variety of craft items with lots of seasonal gift ideas and plenty of festive games and stalls which were organised by pupils.

Santa was in residence in his Grotto, which, as always, proved a popular attraction for the children.

Visitors enjoyed festive music sung and played by pupils in the busking corner whilst enjoying a glass of mulled wine, a bacon roll or a mince pie.

Headteacher Katie Hill said: “It was lovely to see so many people at the fair, especially former pupils who return each year to re-connect and share their happy memories of Chard School.

“Our thanks to the Friends of Chard School for organising such an enjoyable and successful event.”
