Party held to say thank you to the community of Feniton.

Residents in Feniton were in high spirits for a special party to boost the village’s morale following the devastating floods last year.

The event, at Feniton Social Club, was organised and paid for by Salisbury Close resident Bill Knollman.

He said: “It was a party to thank everyone who helped us during the floods and to boost morale.”

Mr Knollman, his wife Carol and their dog Jess had to be rescued by firefighters after their home was flooded last November 24.

The community in the village banded together to help those affected by the flooding after it was hit by the deluge of rain that caused chaos across the region.

The couple were two of eight residents that were rescued by firefighters from Honiton and Ottery St Mary and taken to the social club overnight.

Mr Knollman also wanted to thank John Capon, the managing director of Otter Windows in Honiton, for providing the music during the party on Saturday, June 22, and Danny Beaven who helped Mr Knollman and his family after their house was flooded.
