Following the success of last summer’s canoe safaris along the River Axe, more paddling adventures are being planned.

East Devon District Council countryside team and Axe Vale Canoe Club have again joined forces to offer five exciting canoe experiences.

Each canoe adventure will be led by qualified instructors from the Axe Vale Canoe Club with guided commentary from the countryside rangers, who will share their knowledge of the wildlife encountered on the trip.

Paddle your own canoe and discover the River Axe or the coast line from Beer to Branscombe from a different perspective, while enjoying unspoilt scenery and diverse wildlife along the way.

The summer adventure includes a delicious picnic supper either on the riverbank or on Branscombe beach.

Events taking pace are:

• Canoe Safari (River Axe), Thursday, June 2, 6pm to 9pm, £35 per adult, £20 per child, under 16s pay child price.

• Coastal Canoe Safari (Beer to Branscombe), Monday, June 6, 6pm to 9pm, £35 per adult, £20 per child, under 16s pay child price
