Motorcyclist sustains life-changing injuries in Dunkeswell collision

Man in his forties airlifted to hospital following incident on minor road leading to Hemyock.

A motorcyclist suffered life-changing injuries in a four-vehicle collision between Dunkeswell and Hemyock this week.

The incident occurred on a minor road on Monday (June 6), just before 8am.

The motorcyclist, riding an Aprilla bike, collided with a Volkswagon Golf. Debris from this collision damaged two other vehicles.

The man, who is in his forties and from Somerset, was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with serious and life-changing injuries to one arm and one leg.

No-one else was injured in the collision.
