A motorist’s anti-social driving has come to a swift end after their vehicle was seized by police.

Officers swooped in Honiton after receiving reports of a blue Suzuki Swift being driven in an anti-social manner.

PC Jeanette Bassett, rural east neighbourhood beat manager, said: “The driver was stopped by police and reported to court for driving without a licence and no insurance.

“The vehicle was seized and will be scrapped due to its un-roadworthy condition.

“It is unbelievable that someone would drive a vehicle in such bad condition and I would like to thank the members of public that alerted us to this driver who brought this to a swift end.”

On Facebook, Rural East Devon Police added: “He [the driver] was also educated that when driving a vehicle it is a requirement to have headlights, indicators and a number plate.

“No, it hadn’t been in an accident... but was already in this condition!”
