Vehicle with two people and three dogs inside gets stuck in floodwater

Two people and three dogs were rescued from a car stuck in floodwater on the A303 near Upottery late last night (Wednesday, March 14).

Police called two crews of firefighters from Chard to help them free the stranded motorists, at just before midnight.

They put on dry suits and waded out to remove them from the vehicle.
