Police in Honiton warn drivers to be responsible and drive appropriately to the conditions.
Motorists are being advised to take extra care whilst travelling on the regions roads.
Police in Honiton are urging drivers to be responsible when driving at this busy time of year.
PCSO Darren England said: “With an increase in tourists and traffic during this busy period we need to stress to drivers to take care as many will be unfamiliar with the roads.
“People need to allow plenty of time for their journey, plan their route and should always drive with patience.
“It is important to apply extra concentration and attention to driving, particularly at junctions where many road traffic collisions occur.
“Motorists should also reduce distractions whilst driving such as the use of mobile phones.”
He added: “All road users should also be considerate of large agricultural machinery being negotiated in rural areas.
“They should take the necessary precautions when approaching them, be patient and only pass when safe.”
Police are also reminding to observe the speed limit at all times and esnure they drive appropriately to the road conditions.
